The transbrake works by allowing to lockup the gearbox with a forward gear selected, allowing to load up the engine while preventing the car from moving forward.
This is often used in combination with launch control to build boost and preload the torque converter on higher powered cars for a better launch.
When equiped, the default keys to engage the transbrake is Shift + Ctrl + Alt + Space.
