How to start traffic and AI driving.
Main menu -> Freeroam -> Options
Traffic options in Freeroam Configurator.
The user can spawn Normal, Parked only or Police traffic, or even disable traffic spawning completely.
Normal traffic gets spawned with Traffic AI driving mode.
Open a level with Freeroam;
Press E to open the Radial Menu;
Opt for Freeroam actions or Quick actions then Traffic option of the menu, as displayed here:
The Traffic section will open a submenu that enables you to quickly spawn and manage traffic vehicles:
Spawn (Normal) to create traffic with a typical group of vehicles;Spawn (Police) to create traffic that includes a few police vehicles;The police vehicles detect and chase the vehicles which commit infractions.
Start Traffic to enable traffic mode for all other vehicles, including ones that you manually spawned in;Pause Traffic to pause traffic mode;Remove Traffic to remove all traffic vehicles.Enjoy driving! The traffic system will spawn vehicles around the player and be respawning them to accompany the player and make a realistic driving experience.
If you opt for Freeroam actions then AI button of the menu, you can assign an AI mode to your vehicle, as displayed here:
Press Ctrl + Shift + T from keyboard on Freeroam, to spawn traffic.
To experience the AI racing, from Main Menu/Gameplay Selector, opt for AI Race.
AI race mission: BeamNG Sports Race.
Another possibility is to access the Traffic interface of Gameplay:
The Gameplay Traffic interface.
Access these Options from Main Menu via Options -> Gameplay -> Traffic; if already in Freeroam, press F1 first.
Note that when using the Radial Menu to create traffic, it will use your settings from Options -> Gameplay.
For example:
Use vehicle pooling spawns and cycles through a larger group of vehicles, at the cost of loading time and memoryUse parked vehicles can spawn on maps that contain parking spots data.Other options are the Traffic App , the AI Control App and the Traffic Manager .
You can also use the Vehicle Selector (accessible from the Menu/Vehicles when you press F1) to spawn, replace or remove a vehicle.
